Maó, Menorca: Location and surroundings of this property

Es Canutells is located on the southeast coast of Menorca. It is not an area particularly frequented by tourists, and is indeed a hidden gem best-known only to those who live on the island. For this reason, it is relatively quiet during even the busy summer months and offers a serene and picturesque retreat. The region offers a glimpse into authentic Menorca, with its unspoiled, natural beauty and quiet, residential atmosphere. The area is predominantly comprised of residential homes and private holiday villas.

It is an inlet that was formed by a stretch of sea and is surrounded by cliffs. It has two beaches; one of sand; and then a smaller bathing area just a few metres away which is a mixture of sand, pebbles and rocks.  It is also the mouth of the ravine that forms from the small town of Sant Climent. The beach area also has a ramp which vehicles with trailers can use to lower and raise their boats or kayaks, both of which are popular pastimes in this area. 

There are stunning trails in the area and Es Canutells is located on the Cami de Cavalls, from where you can enjoy a secluded walk through pine forests and open countryside directly to Cales Coves or Cala en Porter.
