The Ruzafa neighbourhood is one of the oldest districts in Valencia, dating back to the 8th century. Many buildings from the early 20th century have been gradually restored and the cultural attractions has been expanded. Thus, it has become one of the most fashionable districts in Valencia.

There are plenty of art galleries. There is no shortage of restaurants specialising in all kinds of food, some of them run by prestigious chefs, such as the Canalla Bistró restaurant by Richard Camarena or the Mercatbar by Quique Dacosta. On the other hand, Ruzafa is a neighbourhood deeply rooted in the Fallas festival. Its streets are particularly careful to place increasingly artistic lighting.
