Estepona is a bustling town between Marbella and Sotogrande, which has managed to retain its traditional Spanish character and the atmosphere of the Mediterranean, but at the same time embraces international flair. Its forward-thinking Mayor has the aim of making the town a point of reference on the Costa del Sol. Situated at the foot of the Sierra Bermeja Mountains, it is an ideal place to live for families and people who appreciate life outside of the more well-known tourist areas of the Costa del Sol.

The town centre, with its cobbled streets and typical Andalusian décor offers many traditional shops, bars and restaurants with a wide variety of dishes to suit all tastes. The marina of Estepona is characterised by its friendly international atmosphere with splendid views of the Mediterranean Sea as well as a wide variety of restaurants.

The town has a number of modern, high-end new developments, all within walking distance of the centre. Most cities do not have enough space to build, but this is not the case in Estepona, as there is still plenty of space to build quality luxury new developments. These developments are very well spread throughout the area, giving a constant feeling of spaciousness.

Thanks to the town's geographical location, the new developments offer breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea and the horizon, reaching as far as North Africa. The new designs are bright and spacious, with large terraces to enjoy such magnificent sea views. The facilities offered in each development are excellent, with infinity pools, gyms, chill-out areas, beautifully landscaped gardens, and the latest technology to ensure good communication.

Estepona also boasts a wide promenade, dotted with beach bars and sandy beaches awarded with the European Blue Flag. There are two private hospitals with an international medical infrastructure, more than 10 18-hole golf courses within a 15km radius of the town, the Equestrian Art School being a renowned centre throughout Europe, various attractions for children and families such as the Selwo Aventura park, the sailing school, various sports centres and multiple parks and leisure areas for children of all ages. It also offers international schools and new infrastructures such as a bicycle lane linking the western and eastern parts of the town. All in all, Estepona has become an ideal place for a holiday home or permanent residence.

The vast majority of properties viewed in Estepona are new apartment developments offering quality services with generous communal areas in local and traditional Spanish village setting with all amenities within walking distance.
